Don Knotts

There are two great joys in life, making someone laugh, and leading someone to help theirself. Don Knotts knew how to make us all laugh. When someone passes on I always wonder,

Will the be missed?
Will Someone ever replace them?
Did they make an impact?

Don did all of that and more, thank you Don for giving us all so many wonderful years laughs. May God Bless you and keep you safe.

US Ports

I have a solution to the Port Situation, Why can't the Dubai Company appoint an American company to oversee secuirty operations (independently.)

Dubai is not the problem, neither is our ports being owned by outside interest. The problem is security, 5% of all cargo is inspected, we need to increase that, furthermore we need vetted Americans to ensure our security.

Cut the Waste

Has anyone given any thought to South Dakota. I think that every politician in SD that signs the new abortion law should have to pay a fee. The law is unconstititional and invalid before it is even written.

A judge will issue an injucture and the Supreme Court will strike it down. I am not for "open abortion" what we have now, but without an age, incest, or rap, hardship clause I will fight any abortion bill with every ounce of my energy.

Before you Republicans tell me about adoption consider all of the kids that are in foster care now and are going nowhere.

Are you upset?

A Maryland politician who is up in age did a double take when looking at an attractive aide. I certainly don't think he should have called her back, but to call for his retirement is just ridiculous. There is nothing wrong with looking at someone for less than a minute. It certainly should not be a hangable offense to call an attractive lady over.

I am not excusing his behavior I am simply saying that we all do it.

NAME THAT SERVICE

Since I have posted no lies, no slanderous comments, just the facts I feel obligated to tell you the name of the service I used in the hopes it will not happen to you.

Follow up,

I spent $45.81 for Valentine's Day flowers. They arrived on 2/15/06 shorter than they were suppose to be and not of great quality. It took numerous calls and over three hours on the phone just to recieve a $20.00 refund that will take five days to recieve. They never replied to any of my emails.

This is a very personal post but I felt that I wanted to post this on my blog. This is an email I sent to a floral company. I am trying to find out if I can post the name of the company here I hope this never happens to you.

I ordered the flowers by the time you stated I needed.
I called to find out why she didn't receive them and was told the research department would look into the matter. I have heard nothing from them.
I Called back the next day and I waited on hold for one hour and then I was given the choice to cancel my order.

I have been purchasing flowers online for years now and I recently discovered your website, your flowers looked great and you had very nice arrangements, after seeing all that I took a chance and decided I would order from you all.

I will remember it as one of the most embarrassing situations I have ever been through. I recently met a nice lady and wanted to show her how much I care for her by expressing my love on this holiday. To my utter dismay she never received the flowers I sent I feel heart-stricken knowing that she must be disappointed.

Now I understand it was not a large order but it certainly contained a great amount of emotional content. I do not know what to do except to tell you that I can never recommend that anyone ever purchase from you. There is more to flowers than the cell walls and nucleuses for some of us pour our hearts into words of love and express our feelings in flowers. This was brutally destroyed today by corporation 1300 miles away. I cannot honestly express my emotions to you. I am a full time college student and I work full time, I have not a social life in years, I have been driven by thoughts of my success. Just when I meet a girl who interrupts this all and shows me that there is more to life than the writing on the wall when you are done, I am struck down not by something I did or even had a hand but something even worse.

She tells me it is no big deal and in fact, I might be even more upset than she is, it was my words, my emotions, and my love. Have never written a complaint letter with tones so personal yet again I have never experienced such emotional pain at the hands of someone else. Please let me know what your procedures are in situations like this, I pray that this does not happen much it really does impact a relationship, a solid relationship can survive something like this but the moment is gone, the magic fades and the glory erodes.

Permenant Tax Cuts

Do you want to hear a funny joke? The Bush tax cuts are for the middle class. When I hear that I truly get a chuckle. I do not believe we should over tax the rich, but President Bush has a bad track record when it comes to taxes.

Americans gave huge tax cuts to oil companies so that they could show a profit, does anyone feel that Exxon's profits might not have been at their best.

Has my Blog ruined your life

I recently wrote an article asking if my blog was ruining your life. In a comment that followed I named the wrong magazine. In an attempt to be accurate I deleted that post and I am asking that you repost your comments. I read the article once more and while I certainly agree that some people get carried away on their blogs most people are truthful.

Forbes - Published the article it is worth a read, but they went overboard in my opinion. They highlighted the bad without mentioning the good. Sound Familar??

There are anti-Microsoft blogs along with several other companies. I like Linux but I am not going to stop using Windows.
